Estate planning attorney, adjunct professor, and peer-recognized legal professional now serving Fort Worth, Tarrant County, and Parker County, Texas.
Garrett A. Eller is the founder and owner of Eller Legal. Born and raised in Woodward, Oklahoma, Garrett earned his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Oklahoma before going on to receive his Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2018 - graduating with Dean's List honors and recognition on the Faculty Honor Roll.
During law school, Garrett earned CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in both Wills, Trusts & Estates and Estate Planning, recognizing the top performance in each course. He also served as a judicial extern for Vice-Chief Justice Noma D. Gurich of the Oklahoma Supreme Court, gaining appellate-level legal research and drafting experience at the highest level of Oklahoma's judiciary.
After founding Eller Legal in 2018, Garrett quickly built a reputation as one of Oklahoma's leading estate planning practitioners. He was recognized by 405 Magazine as a Top Attorney in both 2021 and 2022, received the Oklahoma Bar Association's Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Award in 2020, and was named a NEXTGEN Under 30 recipient in 2019. These honors reflect recognition from his peers and the legal community, not self-nomination.
In addition to private practice, Garrett has served as an adjunct professor at Rose State College, teaching Criminal Procedure, Civil Procedure, and Contract Law, and has served as a Title IX Decision Maker. He also developed an applied law school curriculum designed to prepare students for solo and small firm practice.
Garrett has served as municipal attorney for seven Oklahoma municipalities and held positions as Deputy Attorney General and Assistant Attorney General for multiple tribal nations, including the Kaw Nation, Ponca Nation, Seminole Nation of Oklahoma, and Fort Sill Apache Tribe. His practice at Eller Legal also includes business planning, civil litigation, and IRS representation.
Garrett is now based in Azle, Texas, and is fully licensed to practice law in Texas and Oklahoma. He serves clients throughout Tarrant County, Parker County, and the greater Fort Worth area, with virtual consultations available statewide.
